Happy Canada Day!

And squishy rubber beavers for all!
Woo-hoo! ;-)
Did we annex Sioux Falls? Awesome.
I mock my Sioux Falls friend, E, for being part of Canada, since their winters are far more Canadian than Floridian in temperament. Also, since she used to live a block from the beach down here, and now she has blizzards and whatnot.

She's also much happier there. Perhaps there's something to that round bacon and snow thing. ;-)
Wow, since you gave me one, does that make me an honorary Canadian?
but of course!
OK, I read the thread and now it makes sense: but you scared me for a second, saying that the Dakotas had become a part of Canada.

Actually, that wouldn't be such a bad thing. Heck, I'd move to Fargo in a second if I could get Canadian health care.
You already have the winters where you are, so what do you have to lose? :-)
Yikes, I'm not THAT tough. I once went to Winnipeg in November, and I was so cold I actually got homesick for MN. It was a mere 45 degrees F. in St. Paul, while in Winnipeg it was already down to 29 (I had to convert everything from metric to the US system, btw). They get even nastier weather up there than in Minnesota.

Of course, I could move to Vancouver, which is next to the Pacific and supposedly has the biggest Asian population in Canada. Maybe when I retire and my joints and eyes are shot....
LOL. Oh, HG. I meant you have similar winters to Fargo! Not Canada. Although, you're right: Vancouver is lovely and temperate, at least compared to Minnesota.
Fargo!?! Don't get me started on Fargo! Their winters make Minnesota look like Hawaii. They're always closing down the state because the winds bury the roads with snow. And if you drive anywhere in the winter, you have to pack a "winter emergency kit:" a candle with matches, a candy/energy bar, a knit cap and insulated gloves, a ball of twine just in case you have to leave the car in a blizzard, and an orange tarp to spread over the car so the rescue crews can find you in the snow.

I suddenly have this urge to start packing for California.
Strong beer and hairy women. Can't have one without the other... LOL

Aw! Thank you! I love someecards. And Canada Day. Happy belated Independence Day to you!
Thanks Chicky baby. :-) I love the someecards slogan: "When you care enough to hit enter." Hope your celebration was full of fun and round bacon.
